All staff here at Greenacres receive ongoing training in order to achieve quality care, and the majority of our Staff are NVQ trained. The dedicated team of friendly staff at Greenacres Care Home constantly strive to maintain high standards in accordance with our Philosophy of Care.
Their friendly approach and involvement reflects their genuine interest in the well-being of our Residents.
Ms Sharon Jevic, Registered Manager, has worked for the Company for over 12 years. Sharon oversees the entire running of the home, bringing leadership, enthusiasm and a passion to care, empathy with all of our Residents and respect from all staff is very much in evidence.
Mrs Siobhan Worthing, Head of Care, recently joined our Care Team having worked within the local community as a District Nurse. Siobhan has a wealth of experience in the care field and works very closely with the Care Team ensuring a commitment to the delivery of exceptional care.
Mrs Amanda Foxon, Administrator, has worked for the Company for 8 years. Amanda is entrusted to ensure that financial, HR and administration procedures are carried out effectively. All Private or Local Authority funding issues including Benefit queries are handled within our Administration service.
Mrs Gillian Holgate, Deputy Manager, has worked for Greenacres Care Home since 1996, Gill supports both Sharon and Siobhan within her role and oversees the Caring Team, ensuring first class care is received by all of our Residents. Gill has a great empathy with older people.
Mrs Susan Penneystone, Activities Co-Ordination, arranges group activities on 5 afternoons per week, she works closely with the Care Team engaging them in varying activities with the Residents, ensuring a stimulating and rewarding lifestyle is achieved for all those who live with us here at Greenacres. We invite professional entertainers to visit regularly and wer are also treated to performances by the local school children. During the Summer months various trips to places of interest take place using transport with wheelchair access.
Our Care Team, too many to mention individually, all have a caring nature, a commitment to excellence in resident care and a willingness to learn. All Carers go through an indepth Induction with further training in First Aid, Safe Moving and Handling, Food Hygiene & Safety, Health & Safety, Infection Control and indepth Dementia awareness training.
Our Care Staff rely on the skilled group of support staff, including Cooks, Domestics, Laundry and Maintenance personnel, to enhance the quality of life of our Residents. Cleanliness and hygiene are essential in our home, the well-being of our Residents relies on a housekeeping team that take pride in their work ensuring the quality of this service. All of our menu's are created daily on the premises with fresh quality ingredients.
